The History

For centuries, a Serai was a place along the Silk Road where travelers paused to rest, share meals, exchange goods, and encounter people and cultures different from their own. Business was conducted, stories were told, recipes were discovered, and music and traditions were shared. Small comforts of home were offered so that everyone could experience a familiar warmth. In these moments, strangers connected, and the influence of those encounters traveled far beyond the walls of the serai, shaping communities and reverberating through cultures across continents.

SERAI at WORK.

Serai at Work brings a facilitated creative activation to your office — hands-on, guided, and designed for connection. Not a workshop. Not another team-building exercise. Not a networking event. Something your people actually look forward to.

Teams connect differently when their hands are busy. For 60–90 minutes, we turn a conference room into a studio: side-by-side, everyone makes something beautiful, guided step by step, and walks out with a finished piece they're proud of. Guards come down. Real conversations happen across levels and departments that can’t be manufactured in other settings.

Everything is handled for you — facilitation, all materials, setup, and cleanup. You provide the people and the space; we bring the rest.

We bring together intimate groups of curious, creative, and purposeful people who are building something—whether it’s behind a purpose, a body of work, a community, or a more meaningful way forward.

Together, we set out to create something beautiful, break bread, exchange ideas, and, while in the flow state, have expansive conversations about building, where trends are going, and the causes that matter. The entire experience is rooted in supporting creativity and accessing innate genius.

No audience —just people gathering—sparking creativity, connection, and community. Everyone participates. Everyone contributes.
